Data Security

We have created three ways in which you can make your software more Secure.

The first way to secure your date is to delete history you no longer need.

To do this:

This will offer you three choices. If you do not need your data older than 7 years for tax or accounting purposes, 

I would suggest deleting the data.

To look at your oldest date, and how many reservations you may have that are older than 7 years, you can select the statistics button.

It will not delete any Gift Certificate information.

If you do not wish to delete your old date, there are a few other options:

Encrypt at Rest will encrypt the database.  It will encrypt names, addresses, phone and other personal data.

A note-this could make your software performance a bit slower as it would have to unencrypt the data to access it.

The third option is to Obscure sensitive data.

This option will take all personal data and make it an ‘x’.  You choose the date range you wish to use.  

This will keep all financial and statistical data but take away the personal data.
